Privasec proudly partnered with Cyber Risk Meetup to bring together industry professionals for the ‘No Longer a Secret’ event in Sydney on 18th October. The well-attended event provided an opportunity for networking and sharing ideas with industry peers. The line-up of knowledgeable speakers leveraged their experiences to provide practical insights into staying in sync with the dynamic risk environment.
Olga Ganopolskygla, General Counsel Privacy and Data at Macquarie Group Limited, spoke about the complexity of responding to data breaches when privacy legislation differs greatly across countries and jurisdictions. Managing Consultant at Privasec, Ignatius Swart, spoke about the impact of living in a world of data breaches and suggested frameworks for organisations to effectively adapt and respond. CIO at Clinical Excellence Commission (CEC), Andre Jenkins addressed the importance of creating an environment where organisations are transparent and the public is informed about emerging privacy issues.
