The federal, state and local governments across Australia has been called by a taskforce of NSW government-sponsored industry leaders to adopt internationally recognised cyber security standards for cloud services: https://lnkd.in/gQshHg4
There’s a push for the governments to undertake and leverage the internationally recognised standard ISO/IEC 2700 collection as a baseline for data safety in the cloud area, and consider ISO/IEC 27001, SOC 2 and FedRAMP for those introducing cloud companies at a protected stage.
Tender bids/ proposals from companies who adopt cyber security and other risk standards for telecommunications and the IoT will be considered more favourable.
Such emphasis will certainly contribute towards our ecosystem striving together to meet baseline cyber security requirements.
