Privasec back in Queensland 2 years after Telstra acquisition

Privasec announced today the opening of their Brisbane office and appointment of Paul Bilic to lead operations in Queensland.

Privasec, one of Australia’s fastest growing cybersecurity services provider was created back in 2015 by a few key ex Bridge Point consultants.

Now, 2 years after the acquisition of Bridge Point Communication by Telstra, the former security consulting team is back in Queensland setting up shop in the Brisbane CBD. “We are built on the same core principles of integrity, honesty and care which underpinned Bridge Point, and it made sense for us to open an office in Queensland where these values come from and are highly appreciated. Paul has a proven track record working for key local organisations such as QLD Health, QPS, Tatts and Aurizon, and we’re fortunate to have him onboard looking after our operations in the sunshine state”, said Karan Khosla, Principal Consultant of Privasec.

Initially based in Sydney, Privasec expanded in Victoria earlier this year. “Our presence in the three major states now allows us to provide better and more efficient services to our larger customers, whilst at the same time improving the level of care and ownership which has made our success to date”.

Privasec delivers information security and cyber security services to medium and large enterprises. Privasec Red, their specialised and handpicked Red Team, provides advanced ethical hacking, social engineering and physical intrusion testing to banks, high profile retailers and other critical businesses amongst others.

The company holds a string of accreditations and is already on many government panels.
